Vintage Port is only made in years the great Douro houses choose to "declare" — a rare, collective judgment on an exceptional harvest. This overview tracks every declared vintage from the legendary 1927 to the newest 2024.
Only years the major Douro houses actually "declared" as vintage appear here — in other years, the harvest goes into non-vintage blends instead. 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022 were selective declarations by some houses rather than the unanimous, universal years like 2011, 2016 or 2017.
