Domaine Dupont-Fahn

Small Côte de Beaune domaine based in Monthelie, roughly 6-7 ha, founded by Michel Dupont-Fahn (Fahn from his wife's family, which brought the Meursault parcels); now largely run by the next generation, son Baptiste.

Mostly white: Meursault lieux-dits (Les Vireuils, Les Cloux, Les Tillets), Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses and Monthelie in both colours, plus Bourgogne blanc. Style is fairly classical, moderate new oak, lees work, wines with tension rather than fat. Considered good value relative to Meursault négoce pricing, and generally not among the domaines with a serious premox reputation, though older vintages from the late nineties and early 2000s carry the usual white Burgundy risk.
